Welcome to everyBody yoga with cathy jo
Discover a yoga space created with intention, understanding, and a deep commitment to supporting women through every stage of their journey, especially perimenopause. Here, yoga isn’t about being bendy, it’s about feeling at home in your body and mind.

My journey to everyBody yoga
I originally came to yoga for the exercise, but it didn’t take long to realize it offered so much more than just physical movement. Yoga helped support my mental health, build self-confidence, and change the way I relate to my body—and that’s what truly made me fall in love with it.
I know yoga can feel intimidating. Many people think they need a certain body type or flexibility level to belong in a yoga class, but that simply isn’t true. Yoga isn’t about how a pose looks—it’s about how it feels and how it supports you.
That’s why I created EveryBody Yoga. I want to share the benefits of yoga in a way that feels welcoming, accessible, and supportive. Every body can benefit from yoga, and everyone deserves a space where they feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. From my home in Bedford, Nova Scotia, I invite you to join our online community.

Nurturing your perimenopausal journey
During perimenopause, your body and mind go through significant changes. EveryBody Yoga focuses on making yoga adaptable and deeply supportive for this unique phase of life. Here’s what makes our approach perfect for you:
- Supports mental health & emotional balance: Breathwork and mindful movement calm your nervous system, improving mood and reducing anxiety and overwhelm.
- Improves sleep: Gentle evening practices help calm your mind, reduce cortisol, and prepare your body for restful sleep, tackling common sleep disturbances.
- Supports joint health, mobility & strength: Our practices improve joint mobility, build functional strength without impact, and enhance balance, helping you feel more capable in everyday movement.
- Helps manage stress & overwhelm: Yoga offers a vital pause, releasing physical tension and providing tools to regulate your nervous system, even off the mat.
- Builds body trust & self-confidence: We encourage listening to your body with compassion, letting go of comparison, and moving in a way that rebuilds trust in your changing body.
- It’s adaptable — and that matters: Yoga can be gentle or strengthening, short or slow, and modified for injuries, fatigue, or low energy, making it invaluable when your needs fluctuate daily.

More than just movement
Beyond the yoga movements, my deepest hope is that you gain a profound sense of self-love, learn to be kind to yourself, and trust in your own capability—even when things feel hard. It’s a space to explore strength and softness at the same time, without pressure or guilt.
Taking time for yourself isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. And you don’t have to earn rest by pushing harder first.
Our classes are welcoming, encouraging, and often a little light-hearted. We move, we breathe, we try things, we rest, and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Yoga can be challenging, supportive, and yes—fun!
This is a space to show up as you are, do what you can, and leave feeling a little more at home in your body.
You don’t have to earn rest
Here, you don’t have to prove anything. You don’t have to push through. You don’t have to earn rest. You get to be kind to yourself. You get to try hard things at your own pace. You get to take time for yourself—without guilt. And you’re allowed to smile, laugh, and enjoy it along the way.
